Who am I?
Hi, I’m Yadira Hernandez (she/her). I am currently an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a Specialization in Children and Adolescents from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from CSU Northridge. Before becoming a therapist, my previous professional experiences have allowed me to work with various children and teens of different developmental stages. Children and adolescents should be provided with a space where they can learn about their feelings and emotions so that they can better understand and apply them in various situations and environments.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors whether thats hiking or traveling. I also enjoy cooking, baking, and spending quality time with my family and friends. I also like to craft and finding new crafting ideas to try.
Therapeutic Approach:
My therapeutic approaches include mindfulness, CBT, person-centered, art therapy and play therapy (in training).
