Minimum Requirements:

● Master’s degree required in Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, or Social Work

● Registered as an Associate LMFT, LCSW, LPCC and current, unrestricted registration or licensed with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. ****Registered Associate Social Workers will be considered if not needed to be supervised under a LCSW.

● one or more years of previous experience working with children and families

• Preferred play therapy and sandtray experience

• Required EMDR trained

● Experience providing mental health services requiring diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning and crisis intervention, as well as providing the various modalities of therapy

● Must be able to document in a clear and concise manner in accordance with program standards

● Experience using an electronic Health System (EHS), (preferred Simple Practice), No DMH documentation

● Experience, training, and/or strong interest in working with clients presenting with symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, disruptive behavior, substance-abuse, etc.

● Population served: Preschool Children 1-4 years old, School-aged children ages 4 to 18, and adolescents, faith-based clients (Christian, Catholic, Spiritual) LGBTQIAS2+ clients, South Bay families, adults, families, and couples

● Provide valid California Driver’s license and professional registered license to Blue Chair Family Therapy

Job Requirements:

● Work collaboratively with clients and the clinical team to develop a comprehensive assessment, treatment plan and desired treatment outcomes

● Provide evidence-based interventions and evidence-based practices

● Maintain clients’ records related to assessment, treatment, progress toward goals and objectives, discharge summary, and treatment outcomes that are accurate, concise, timely, and useful for coordinating treatment team planning, monitoring, and review

● Maintains a minimum of 20 hours of billable time per week (part-time); this position can become full-time (w/health benefits, etc.)

● Participate in treatment team meetings (Friday’s 12pm-1pm 2x a month), supervision (TBD) and make recommendations as appropriate

• Availability: 2 days in-person (Depending on room availability) and 1-2 day(s) virtual of choice

● Seek guidance and remain knowledgeable of and comply with all applicable federal and state laws, as well as company policies that apply to assigned duties

● Follow the company’s and Board of Behavioral Sciences’ (BBS) expectations regarding ethical behavior and standards of conduct

● Follow all Blue Chair Family Therapy and professional guidelines (AAMFT, CAMFT, NASW)

Physical Demands:

Must be able to remain in a stationary (stand/sit) position at least 50% of the time. This person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer. Frequently communicate with staff, clients, families and other community organizations and must be able to exchange accurate information. You will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions when out in the community.

Compensation, Benefits and Work Schedule:

• Therapy Rate: $35-45 per hour (associates); $50-$65 or split-fee for 1099 contractor {inquire for %} (licensed)

• Administrative Rate: $25

• Work Schedule is 2 days in-person 10am-7pm (Based on Room Availability) and 1-2 day(s) virtual to be determined based on mutually agreeable times, with a preference for after school, evening, or weekend availability

• Hybrid model available (mixture of in person and remote sessions)

• Paid time for administrative duties time (1-2 hours a week depending on client load)

• In-Person Staff Meeting for Associates. Licensed Therapists can join virtually.

• 40-hour Sick Time (all W-2 employees)

• Employees working 32+ hours per week will be eligible for: Health insurance, Vision insurance, Dental insurance, Life insurance, Paid time off, Professional development assistance.

• Therapists will have access to an Patient Liaison, clinical supervisor, and clinical director for support.

• Therapists will receive referrals from clinical director

• Therapists will be expected to have 10 client hours the first month of employment, 15 client hours the second month, 20+ client hours the third month (based on schedule).
