Who Am I?

My name is Michele Gales (she/her) and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I graduated with my M.S In Counseling at Hope International University in 2021, and I am currently enrolled to complete my Doctorate of Marriage and Family Therapy to study the relationship between pregnancy and mental health. When I began this journey towards a career in counseling, I knew that I had a goal of increasing mental health awareness in my community. My journey has grown from helping elementary aged students with behavior and other mental health challenges through a trauma-informed lens, to providing mental health services to children ages 3-5 in a preschool setting, to providing services and resources to children and their families in a community setting. My experience, coupled with the birth of my own daughter in 2019, allowed a broader understanding of how a child’s environment plays a large factor in their success. My goal as your therapist is to work hand-in-hand to educate families on cultivating a successful environment for your child and to provide your child with tools to help them thrive.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, doing yoga, and my current obsession is making my home feel as cozy as possible! I love a good Hallmark or Lifetime movie, and I’m currently waiting for the next season of Love is Blind to drop!
